Summer is ending and the Bears are getting restless because they know Fall is coming. The XL Bears of Seattle are preparing for hibernation but before they start settling down in West Seattle caves with their husbears, they’re throwing their annual Labor Day XL Bear Run bash at venues all over town.
The furry fun starts TOMORROW, Thursday, August 30th and continues through Labor Day, Monday, September 3rd with more events than you can shake a beer at, with the center of activity at CC Attle’s but other major events also happening at Neumos, The Seattle Eagle, Steamworks and Purr. (Uh, where’s The Cuff on this list? Since when do bears not party there?) A pass getting you into all events is available HERE but you can buy individual tickets to most events as well. (And, they’re also raising some money for the Seattle Humane Society…check out this page to see how you can help our 4 legged furry friends…)

Friday, Aug 30: BEAR BUST @ CC Attles. “Seattle’s Best Bear Bar welcomes the XL Bears for Darts, Pool, and a beer bust all night. Chicago’s own Homer Marrs will be performing several of his tracks from his latest album, including “Bear 411”, and“The Facebook Song”….” 9pm to 2am. 21+ w/ID.
Saturday, Sept 1: XL Party featuring Tina Cousins @ Neumos. “The official Saturday night party, with XL welcoming certified gold artist Tina Cousins and international performers The Dream Bears to Seattle. The Dream Bears open for Tina’s performance sometime after midnight, but these cheeky lads will be mingling all night with the crowd before and after. Drinks, dancing, and a great show.” Advance Tix HERE! 8pm-2am. 21+ w/ID.
Sunday, Sept 2: XL Bulge Underbear Party @ The Seattle Eagle. “The host personally has a thing for boxer briefs, but any type of Underbear will work just fine, from boxers to briefs to jocks. Check out the other guys in their underbear while enjoying DJ Matt Stands spin the beats until 2am. Clothes check provided.” 8pm-2am. 21+ w/ID.
Monday, Sept 3: Closing Party @ Purr. “Final Hugs and Tugs as we end the party the same way we started. With one last toast and a great send-off to all the fun we had in Seattle!” 7pm-9pm. 21+ w/ID.
Remember…it CAN be dangerous to feed the Bears. If you are approached by a bear, it’s best to just give them all the goodies in your picnic basket…
