Being gay IS funny!
Well, it can be, but it’s definitely a hoot and a holler when gay and lesbian comedians make the jokes. There’s a trio (triad?) of funny folk making their way to the Theatre Off Jackson on Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30 for “Come Out Laughing” a national comedy tour starring Dana Goldberg, Jason Dudey and Ian Harvey. What’s unique about this group, is they represent the “L”, the “G” AND the “T” in LGBT. (Sorry, Bisexuals…Margaret Cho has other fish to fry.) Dana Goldberg, a frequent visitor to Seattle comedy stages, gay comedian Jason Dudey and transgendered comedian Ian Harvey all worked together at Long Beach, California’s Laugh Factory before joining forces for this unique tour.
Jason Dudey, Dana Goldberg, and Ian Harvie are a comedic powerhouse. They represent some of the best gay, lesbian and transgendered comics on the circuit today. These three comedians have headlined clubs, theaters, festivals, Universities and colleges all over the country and abroad. They have been seen on LOGO, Comics Unleashed, and Wisecrack. Each comic brings his or her own style to the stage, but the cohesion and brilliance of the show plays off of each comedian’s strength and delivers an edu-taining slant on the LGBT community that will open your minds and your hearts and leave your sides hurting from laughter. Audience members gay and straight alike are raving about Come Out Laughing.”
Tickets are still available for both shows at Brown Paper Tickets. And, if you use the code “LGBT” on the BrownPaper website, you get $3 OFF your ticket!
