Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn will be one of the 2013 mayoral candidates on hand for the GSBA Mixer on July 10.

The Greater Seattle Business Association is gearing up to host its annual “Prime Time Mixer & Candidate Reception” this coming Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel from 5pm to 7:30pm. It’s a chance for GSBA members and guests to meet candidates running in local 2013 elections, as well as an opportunity to engage them in conversation….including the asking of some tough questions. Like: “Street crime is on the rise on Capitol Hill…whatcha gonna do about it?” and “Seattle Metro services can NOT be cut…whatcha gonna do about it?” and “Why are our streets and sidewalks full of holes…whatcha gonna do about it?”

All sorts of politcos will be on hand but most of the attention will be focused on the 7 Seattle mayoral candidates scheduled to attend, including current mayor Mike McGinn and arguably, his strongest competition, the out & proud Ed Murray.

The event is open to all (but GSBA members get a discount). Register now to secure your spot at the event.

More skinny from the GSBA:

Join us for our annual Prime Time Mixer and Candidate Reception on July 10. This is an opportunity for our members to meet dozens of candidates who are running for various city, county, state and judicial positions this year. This non-partisan, pre-primary event is a chance for you to meet face-to-face with candidates who are hoping to represent you and see where they stand on issues of importance to the LGBT and small business communities.

We will be holding a mix and mingle with all the candidates and elected officials from 5:00 to 6:30. From 6:30 to 7:30 we will have a special Q&A session with the candidates for Mayor of Seattle. 7 of the mayoral candidates have confirmed their participation. Joey Gray, Bruce Harrell, Kate Martin, Mary Martin, Mike McGinn, Ed Murray and Charlie Staadecker have each confirmed their participation.
