Upset that the Black-Eyed Ball didn’t happen? Can’t wait till the next bout to see your fave derby queens?
After a raucous night at Slash, wake up and head over to Fast Girl Skates in Wallingford, where a host of derby girls will plant a wet one on your cheek! For the low donation of $5, you can meet the girl of your dreams before eating your feelings at Molly Moon’s. From 1pm to 4pm, a schedule of three ladies each hour will be there to appease your squealing fangirl/boy dreams. And with different people each hour, you can go back again and again and again!
It is unfortunate that the Black-Eyed Ball didn’t pan out. It was to be RCRG’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and promised to be awesome. So now the next best option to support the derby you love is here, if you don’t have tickets to tomorrow’s SOLD OUT bout. Next one isn’t until the following weekend, February 21. And folks, they’re playing at The Rat’s Nest in Shoreline now—not even at Key Arena! Guess the rent got a little high there. All the more reason to support them!
Folks, I can’t think of anything better to do during Valentine’s Day. Yanno, like during the actual day. No matter what your plans are at night (even if it’s Changes down the street), there’s no reason not to enjoy yourself for a great cause in the afternoon!
