Auntie Mame gets a bright idea about Agnes Gooch…

The clock is ticking on your chance to grab tickets for Three Dollar Bill Cinema’s annual holiday screening of the universally beloved comedy classic AUNTIE MAME, the popular camp film starring icon Rosalind Russell about a madcap heiress and her wacky life trying to raise her orphaned nephew. It’s based on the hit play of the same name (which also starred Roz…) and the enormously popular novel by Patrick Dennis, the eccentric bisexual mid 20th century novelist.

This year’s screening is happening Wednesday, December 13th at AMC Pacific Place in downtown Seattle and will be hosted by Arnaldo! Drag Chanteuse.

SNATCH your tickets here…AND, this year they have ticket options for folks on a budget (but please only use them if you need to; after all, this IS supposed to be a fundraiser opportunity, dahlings…don’t get all Babbity and Babcocky on us!!!)

Three Dollar Bill Cinema’s Holiday Tradition Returns!

“What could be more wholesome or natural?”

SEATTLE— Make the Yuletide gay with Three Dollar Bill Cinema and AUNTIE MAME at AMC Pacific Place on December 13 at 6:30 pm. One night only! Festive attire and costumes encouraged for this highly anticipated holiday tradition. As Auntie Mame herself says, “Don’t tarry, or you shall be late!”  The soiree begins with sparkling beverages, delightful bites, entertainment, and photo opportunities galore. Local celebrity Arnaldo! Drag Chanteuse will host the evening and perform a special number before the film.

Yes! Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death!

The beloved 1958 film AUNTIE MAME stars the incomparable Rosalind Russell. Always armed with a colorful dress and an acerbic quip, the flamboyant, vibrant Mame Dennis (Russell) is an unconventional socialite from the roaring 20’s. When her young orphan nephew comes to live in her madcap party pad, Mame takes him under wing for an adventure in living life to its fullest.

Single tickets for this fundraising event are $20 and advance purchases are strongly recommended.

This year, discounted tickets and a limited number of complimentary tickets are available for those in need.

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
