SOOOOOOO, if you can remember all the way back to all the escandalos from April of this year, you’ll recollect that one of them was centered on the surprisingly public “HOMO FOR THE HOLIDAYS FEUD” played out on local media outlets (like this one) and social media. It all began when drag superstar BenDeLaCreme suddenly announced in an interview with The Stranger that his beloved yearly holiday show HOMO FOR THE HOLIDAYS was kaput…that the 2017 edition was the last one to be produced. The drag diva also announced that he was working on a brand NEW holiday show with fellow RuPaul’s Drag Race co-star, Jinkx Monsoon.
Apparently, that was all news to DeLa’s former producing partners/co-stars, the popular burlesque team (and real life married couple) KITTEN ‘N’ LOU (aka Kitten LaRue and Lou Henry Hoover) who quickly rebutted that “Homo for the Holidays” WOULD continue but without the services of BenDeLaCreme. Then, other cast members of the show got involved with commenting on the situation on social media and it exposed a considerable amount of bitterness, bickering, hurt feelings and accusations of bad behavior that was happening with the supposedly tight knit cast and team.
The end result was the firing/resignation/leaving due to ‘creative differences’ of several popular cast mates including Faggedy Randy, as well as announcements that one cast member, Scott Shoemaker, was splitting to produce his own holiday themed show.
SO MUCH DRAMA!!!!!!
Well, some time has passed and Kitten ‘n’ Lou have been busy queen bees and gone ahead to re-cast all the vacant roles with new folks. Today, they released a new cast photo and announced ticket sales were open for the 2018 edition of Homo for the Holidays, once again back at West Hall at Oddfellows Hall on Capitol Hill. The show is subtitled now being called “Jingle All The Gay” which hopefully means it’s an all new show…Homo for the Holidays was rather notorious for pretty much doing the same show year after year after year, with a few changes. This new edition includes several out of town names in the cast, including artists from New York and San Francisco.

Too Nervous To Venture Out To See Live Shows? Jinkx, Dela and Dina Have A Way To Still See Their Shows!
Some of us are still Nervous Nellies when it comes
Michael, do your research. Interview people. No one was fired. The people not in this cast photo from the previous years all left the show.
Also, the stranger article you are referring to is misquoted.
The reason there are out of town people in the cast is because They are running out of local talent that wants to work with them, or that they want to work with.
This new version of the show will be a show that they will again, repeat every year with minor changes, like Homo for the Holidays, and their summer show Camptacular.
Only one person was “let go” in Camptacular, but the reason was for announcing it was their last year in the show, and for agreeing with opinions that were not Kitten and lou’s.
“Jingle” some facts before stirring the pot.
