Yay! The queer kids have a fun event for Halloween! Yes, it’s tough for queer youth under the age of 21…the majority of events are skewed for booze drinkers over the age of 21. Fortunately, Lambert House, the community center for Seattle’s LGBTQ+ youth has planned a Halloween Dance: Monster Masquerade.
It’s happening on Saturday, October 28th from 7 to 11pm at All Pilgrim’s Church at 500 Broadway East on Capitol Hill…it’s for youth aged 13 to 22. No one will be turned away for lack of funds but donations of $15 to $25 are encouraged.
Go to https://www.lamberthouse.org/monster-masquerade-2023 to register.
Soft drinks/snacks will be provided. And, obviously, no booze or drugs!
A bit more info:
This event for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and ally (LGBTQ+) youth is planned by a committee of LGBTQ+ youth who began meeting weekly in mid-August. The age range for our event is 13-22. Costumes are encouraged, but not required.
Additional details about activities during the dance will be shared here as they are planned by the committee. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged, but not required. Youth may arrive at the event and register on-site.
