White Center, really is becoming a hot LGBTQ+ neighborhood for the Greater Seattle Metro Area…the friendly neighborhood tucked away over the cityline in Southwest Seattle has a thriving local LGBTQ+ community who really like to produce fun things to do including their increasingly popular annual Pride events.
They’re even producing Pride events year round and for the spooky month of October, they’re teaming up with local gay bar The Lumber Yard to produce a Masquerade Ball on Saturday October 21st at the bar from 8pm to 2am.
Here’s the info from the FB invite:
Join us for a night of masks, music, and magic at the White Center Pride Masquerade Ball – A Fundraiser for the White Center Pride Street Fair!
Get ready for an unforgettable evening with:
- Drag Performances
- Live Music
- Carnival Games with Fabulous Prizes
- Best Mask Runway Walk-off
- Gogo Dancers
All proceeds from this event will go towards making the White Center Pride Street Festival even more spectacular. Your support helps us celebrate love and inclusivity right in the heart of our community.
Oddly, no info on whether there is a cover charge/advanced tickets to attend; after all, it IS a fundraiser, so you’d think there would be some kind of cover. I poked them to find out more info. Keep an eye out for that here or on the FB invite.
