You Can’t Stop The Dancing At “Unstoppable: A Queer Dancical”

February 16, 2024• byMichael Strangeways

A brand new live stage show is hitting the stage at Broadway Performance Hall for three weekends…it’s the world premiere of UNSTOPPABLE: A Queer Dancical written and directed by Zheng Wang and featuring a large troupe of local dancers and performers and choreographers…including beloved local entertainer Gaysha Starr!

From the pr:

Come celebrate queer love and resilience with the world premiere production of “UNSTOPPABLE: A Queer Dancical,” a captivating stage show that celebrates the vibrant spirit of the LGBTQ+ community! Inspired by real life events, the story follows Nikki and Keith, best friends who move from a small town to the city, as they experience the community’s response to a hate crime incident. Expect love stories, political drama, diverse characters, and 20+ rousing dance numbers set to pop hits!

CONTENT/TRIGGER WARNING: The show contains themes of homophobia/transphobia, strong language, intense moments, and dramatization of gun violence. It is not suitable for young children or unaccompanied younger adolescents.

Tickets available now at http://unstoppable.brownpapertickets.com. Buy advanced tickets and save over at-the-door prices! We also have a limited number of budget-friendly $10 tickets available for those who need it. See you at the show!

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
