STANCE, the Seattle Trans and Nonbinary Choral Ensemble, has several big events coming up in November. After a bit of a scary summer where the community chorus made up of trans and nonbinary singers struggled to find funding to keep the group going, they’ve managed to raise those funds to continue their programming for another year and proceed with their annual Fall Talent Showcase on Saturday, November 2nd at 7pm at the Rainier Beach Presbyterian Church. You can snag tickets (and donate to their general fund) at: https://givebutter.com/c/STANCEtalentFall24
Also note that they are requiring Masking at all their concerts to protect at risk members from illness.
More about their mission:
At STANCE, a community by and for trans and nonbinary singers, we have a vision of sharing the unique wonders of trans joy with the world. Through our music, both singers and audiences can find embodiment and connect to our full selves, physical and emotional. But to keep building this dream into a reality, we need your help to pay our Artistic Directors. By buying a ticket, you are helping sustain our unique community. Thank you for your support.
Then, they have two more events happening later in November…STANCE: Seattle Trans and Nonbinary Choral Ensemble will once again produce special concert memorial events to honor the Trans Day of Remembrance in November. The event, titled THE POWER OF ME will be held twice, on Saturday, November 16th at 3pm and then on the actual national day of remembrance, Wednesday, November 20th at 7:30pm. Both concerts will take place at University Congregational Church, 4515 16th Ave NE in the University District. Tickets at: https://www.stanceseattle.org/performances

Join STANCE for second annual concert commemorating Transgender Day of Remembrance 2024. This evening of music and poetry is dedicated to our fallen siblings and will focus on the incredible power that each and every trans person possesses. This concert is sponsored by TRACTION and features the poetry of Lotus the Vibe.
Accessibility: Masks are required of all audience members to protect the safety of our immunocompromised and disabled community members. Thank you for your understanding. Our venue is wheelchair accessible and will be ASL interpreted. If you cannot attend in person, the event will be livestreamed www.youtube.com/@STANCEchoir.
