Bosco’s “Grindhaus” Returns To Seattle With TWO Big Shows At The Crocodile

January 8, 2025• byMichael Strangeways

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 14 star and hometown gal BOSCO is once again teaming up with Queer/Pride Festival to produce a helluva big drag show featuring both local names and internationally known superstars. GRINDHAUS returns on January 31st and February 1st to Seattle’s beloved The Crocodile venue in downtown Seattle. Joining hostess Bosco will be fellow RPDR stars Shea Couleé and Pangina Heals along with local divas Queen Andrew Scott and Ruby Mimosa. It’ll be a fun way to beat the dreary winter doldrums!

More skinny from the press release:

Merging the raw excitement and humor of classic drag revues with the glamour of burlesque and cabaret, along with a touch of performance art, international showgirl, producer, and drag artist Bosco (RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 14) and Queer/Pride Festival (QPF), the Pacific Northwest’s largest annual 21+ music and arts Pride festival (past performers include: Iggy Azalea, Kim Petras, Tegan and Sara, Charo, Peaches, & more) present GRINDHAUS.

This star-studded queer variety production runs January 31 and February 1 at Seattle’s iconic music venue, The Crocodile, and showcases a blend of renowned global drag superstars alongside the incredible talent of local Seattle performers.

Hosted by Bosco, GRINDHAUS features headliners and drag legends Shea Couleé and Pangina Heals and Seattle artists Amora Namor, Rowan Ruthless, Ruby Mimosa, and Queen Andrew Scott.

“I have seen drag all over the world, and I think that the local talent in Seattle is something truly special and deserves an equally special platform,” said Bosco. “When I first moved to Seattle 10 years ago, the city was filled to the brim with queer performance art, from one-woman shows to month-long ensemble holiday spectaculars to modern dance activations. Queer artists were constantly creating and working in all sorts of venues. Since the lockdowns of 2020,  we haven’t quite found our footing outside the bars and clubs. I will always love and be so thankful for the opportunities the clubs have provided us, but I believe we deserve to be back in these larger theatrical spaces. It is my goal to create an opportunity to highlight our local queer talent and put it back on the stage it deserves.”

“By providing a platform for performers to share their artistry, we not only celebrate their achievements but also highlight the importance of supporting and uplifting queer voices,” said Joey Burgess, who, along with his husband and business partner, Murf Hall, founded and operate Queer Pride Festival and own many of Capitol Hill’s most recognized businesses, including Elliott Bay Book Co., Oddfellows/Little Oddfellows, Queer/Bar, and Cuff Complex. “Events like GRINDHAUS play a vital role in fostering a sense of belonging and recognition for all queer artists.”
