Sailor Moon Sails Into Seattle

March 10, 2025• byMichael Strangeways

Late winter and spring are super nerdy fun seasons in Seattle what with Comic Con, which just ended and Sakura Con coming up in April. But, in between those two fun cons there’s an exciting global touring stage show coming to Seattle Theatre Group’s Paramount Theatre this March…it’s Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: The Super Live based on the internationally beloved manga of the same name created by Naoko Takeuchi in 1991 in a girl’s comic magazine. Since then, it has sold over 46 million copies worldwide, been translated into 17 languages and been adapted as a an anime AND a live action TV series. A huge hit with girls and young women, Sailor Moon has also been warmly embraced by LGBTQ+ audiences as well for its depictions of strong female characters and “Girl Power”.

This tour began in 2018 and has circled the globe with sold out performances Paris, NYC, Washington, Taiwan and elsewhere. This leg of the tour brings it to the West Coast including Los Angeles and Seattle and the original Seattle date of Tuesday, March 25th sold out so quickly, they’ve now added another show on Wednesday, March 26th.
