“My Straight Friends” Is Doing A Pride Week Show In Seattle…With A Very Special Guest?!?!?

June 10, 2025• byMichael Strangeways

Soooooo….everyone’s favorite former teacher/hot young daddy/up and coming gay stand up comedian, Seattle’s own Joe Dombrowksi just hinted that the June 25th edition of his very popular gay stand up talk show MY STRAIGHT FRIENDS at Emerald City Comedy Club, 210 Broadway East on Capitol Hill, will have a VERY, VERY special guest! WHO will it be?

Patti LuPone?

She needs a gig…

Joe and his My Straight Friends co-host/creator of the show and fellow Seattle based gay comedian Ricci Armani haven’t released ANY names for the next show, but it usually sells out anyway, even if disgraced Broadway elder divas are not in attendance. For those of you unaware, My Straight Friends is a comedy show/talk show where Joe and Ricci interact with the audience and special guest comedian friends who are of the heterospecial persuasion, thus the name of the show.

It’s load of fun…but not the kind of loads you’d get at Steamworks. If you know what I mean, straight friend.

Emerald City Comedy Club has a 2 drink/item minimum for shows. That means you need to purchase at least two things off their menu! Can be drinks or food. And, non-alcoholic drinks count, too! Oh, and it’s 21+ w/ID.

A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
