How do we know that the popular Bruce Willis action movie DIE HARD is indeed a Christmas movie other than the fact it takes place at an office Christmas party in a hi-rise office building? Because the parody stage production of it, A VERY DIE HARD CHRISTMAS has become a beloved annual holiday tradition in Seattle, staged at Seattle Pubic Theatre’s Green Lake Playhouse every winter holiday season for the last 30 years, give or take!
AND, of course it’s back for 2025 and of course it’s pretty much all sold out of the roughly 7 million tickets available to see it over the course of its month and a half long run…and, I say “pretty much” because this year clever Seattle producer Mark Siano made a crazy mad deal with Village Theatre to partner up with them to co-produce some performances at a larger venue than the snug Green Lake Playhouse space…yes, for 2025 you can snag tickets in a much larger space to enjoy the crazed antics of John McClane as he races around the Nakatomi Plaza building to save his estranged wife and her co-workers from the diabolical schemes of Hans Gruber and his team of armed robbers bent on staling $640 million in untraceable bearer bonds!
AT CHRISTMAS!!!!!
The Die Hard crew will be heading to the Everett Performing Arts Center for four performances, from Friday December 26th through Sunday, December 28th! Tickets at https://villagetheatre.org/mainstage/dhchristmas/

Yippie Ki Yay, it’s a Christmas miracle! Seattle’s favorite musical holiday parody is coming to Village Theatre.
A Very Die Hard Christmas has been keeping Seattle in stitches for years—now, Mark Siano and The Habit Comedy bring their utterly hilarious and gloriously campy hit to Village Theatre’s Everett stage, where it’s sure to blow the roof off the joint.
This holiday comedy is perfect for those who like their holiday entertainment with lots of action, 80s jokes, soft rock jams, and villains sassier than your in-laws.
It’s festive. It’s explosive. It’s one weekend only—unlike fruitcake, it won’t last forever. So grab your tickets now, because nothing says Christmas cheer like Nerf guns, nefarious terrorists, and a barefoot hero in a duct vent.
Audience Note: A Very Die Hard Christmas contains adult language and humor, nerf gun violence, and cheesy jokes.
Running Time: 105 minutes including intermission.
