Movies To Check Out: The Very Queer 100 Nights of Hero

December 14, 2025• byMichael Strangeways

Are you looking for a film to watch and enjoy over the holiday season? Would you like it to be not only entertaining and charming, but maybe a feminist/queer film about powerful smart women and the strength of clever storytelling to overcome obstacles? Then, we have just the film for you! 100 Nights of Hero is based on the acclaimed graphic novel “The One Hundred Nights of Hero”, a graphic novel by Isabel Greenberg that was adapted into a film by filmmaker Julia Jackman.

The deliciously gorgeous cast includes: Emma Corrin, Nicholas Galitzine, Maika Monroe, Amir El-Masry, Charli XCX, Richard E. Grant and Felicity Jones. The film had a run in theaters earlier this fall and now you can check it out on VOD starting Tuesday, December 23rd!

Such a terrific cast including some LGBTQ+ favorites like Emma Corrin and Nicholas Galitzine…and, Charli XCX! Plus, the movie is gorgeous with fantastic costume and scenic design and photography.

He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
