We’re being very feminist today…not all of the feminine members of society like the words “ladies” or “women”…WOMYN OF SEATTLE need a shout out, too.
That being said, as always there aren’t quite as many options for the “L’s” of the LGBTQ community for community events but we’re happy to list the ones we know about...First of all, you can go Punkin’ Carvin’ at The Wildrose TONIGHT (Wednesday, 10/26) for their Absolut sponsored Halloween event. (Does Absolut have a Pumkin’ flavor?) You can bring your own vegetable orb for massacre and a few will be available for purchase at the ‘Rose…and, there is a prize for the best carved pumkin’. Why do we have a sneaky feeling there will be at least one labial looking entry in this competition? (We hope so…we like to think that some of our Sisters can be as dirty minded as the gay mens…)
Options increase on Saturday the 29th, with two events. “LeFreak Presents LeFright” is being billed as a “Halloween Haunted House” at The Wildrose with the usual costume contest, drink specials and FOUR DJ’s: Blü, Amateur Youth, Julia, and Teenburger. The fun starts at 9pm; it’s 21+ and the cover is $8/$5 if you come in costume.
The second women-centric option for Saturday is Seattle Hot Flash Inferno’s big Halloween eventat Neighbours from 6pm to 10pm with costume contest and DJ dirtyKURTY jettin’ up from San Diego. Should be hot.
Sunday, it’s back to The Wildrose for their “Homoween” party presented by “Pink Taco’s” Ruby Rouge and it’s a BurlyQ kind of Halloween event with a big line-up of performers:
Ruby Rouge and Tastee Morsals
Mickey
Lady Kissopher
Gale Force
Dahlia Ste Cyr
Lily Devine
Babs
Last of the Red Hott Mamas
Lili Delight
Luscious Lady Pop
Blue Bear Wharton
Beatrice
Mz. Ginger Snaps
AND, it’s only $4 for the cover…SWEET!
