All of us deserve to live in a community where we are recognized and known as deserving of dignity and respect. In our area of Capitol Hill, known for being eclectic, artistic and welcoming, there has been an uptick of hate violence and crime with discriminating motives.

These incidents both break our hearts and stirred up anger that we are fueling into action. We’ve decided to partner with a local non-profit that is dedicated towards advocating for social justice, and freedom from oppression – LGBTQ Allyship.

On Thursday, April 23rd, we are having a community fundraiser at Coastal Kitchen, donating a portion of sales from breakfast, lunch, happy hour and dinner to LGBTQ Allyship. These funds will allow LGBTQ Allyship continue to run successful outreach programs, including teaching homeless youth leadership development, employment skills and civic engagement through art.

A raffle from local artists of original pieces will happen at 8pm supporting LGBTQ Allyship’s homeless youth programming and advocacy.
