Seattle Rock Orchestra performs the Music of Motown

SRO pays homage to the signature 60’s & 70’s soul, R&B and funk sounds of Detroit-based record label Motown Records. Stylistically unified by incredible house band “The Funk Brothers,” Motown boasted an incredible roster of recording artists, including Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Jackson 5, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations and many more. SRO also celebrates the influence of Memphis-based label Stax Records, whose famous house band Booker T. & The MGs backed artists such as Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, and Isaac Hayes. Featuring a program of some of the best soul, R&B and funk music ever made, this is will be a dance party for the ages!
