Summer at SAM Finale Festival

Celebrate one last time and help us wrap-up an amazing Summer at SAM season. Join for a day filled with music, art making, and yoga for all ages, and learn more about the First People of the Northwest’s tradition of welcoming the late-summer return of the salmon.
Yoga w/ 8 Limbs

Enjoy free outdoor, all-ages yoga with instructors from 8 Limbs Yoga. Bring your own mat, water, and any needed supplies. Rain or shine!

City Meditation Crew
The City Meditation Crew is a group of workers who call attention to sites and actions simply by paying attention. Join them in creating small hand-made rocks from clean sediment collected from areas upstream of the Duwamish River.

Passport Series w/ Carina del Rosario
In the Passport Series, artist Carina del Rosario reframes typical passport application questions and invites you to provide answers, not by checking a box, but by using your own words to describe the most important parts of who you are.

Create, decorate, and adorn hand-made dolls out of cornhusks with Harvest Moon.

Garden Art Orbs w/ Briar Bates
Join landscape designer and Duwamish Revealed artist, Briar Bates, in creating decorative salmon eggs from willow branches and other natural materials to adorn your garden.

Interactive Dance with Ravenspeaker
Alaskan Tsimshian storyteller of the Raven Clan, Ravenspeaker will guide you in an energetic, interactive dance and performance honoring the late-summer return of the salmon.

Storytelling with Harvest Moon
Harvest Moon is a Quinault Ambassador, historian, basket weaver and storyteller. Join her as she tells stories of the abundance of life amongst the Northwest Coast Tribes, whose rich culture has been handed down from generation to generation.
Grab a bite to eat from Off the Rez from 12-2 pm.
