After Meth: Rebuilding Your Life, Sex, And Intimacy
Tuesday, Feb 9 / 7pm-8:30pm
“After Meth: Rebuilding Your Life, Sex, and Intimacy” will be the topic of a reading and discussion with Dr. David Fawcett, author of a new book about meth addiction and recovery among gay men: “Lust Men, and Meth: A Gay Man’s Guide to Sex and Recovery.” The reading and discussion will be moderated by Peter Jabin.
Lust, Men and Meth provides a unique roadmap to recovery for gay men suffering from the challenges of methamphetamine addiction and sexual compulsion stemming from long-term use of the drug. It is based on extensive research on gay men struggling with substance abuse.
Accessibility Info: The Calamus Auditorium at Gay City is ADA accessible, has two single-stall all-gender restrooms, and is minimally scented. There will be scent free soap in the restrooms.
Information for scent sensitive people: Gay City is not a scent free space. All natural, minimally scented cleaning products are used in all areas. Additionally, cigarette smoke from the front entrance can drift into the space, there are often strong scents of coffee and baking from Kaladi Brothers Coffee, and many patrons are not scent free. Please protect yourself accordingly.
