ART WALK: Nate Gowdy’s ‘Campaign in Contrast’ Photo Show
May 12, 2016 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Fresh off the campaign trail, photojournalist Nate Gowdy is fundraising to get to the Democratic and Republican conventions. Come check out his work! Prints, postcards, and mugs (featuring the candidates’ mugs!) will be available. And wine, too!
THE EXHIBITION
“Campaign in Contrast” is a personal photography project documenting, in bold black and white, the spectacle of a starkly polarized 2016 presidential election. The majority of the work remains unpublished, but select images have been featured and recognized by TIME, American Photography 32, Communication Arts’ 57th Photo Annual, Al Jazeera English, Courrier International (Paris), and on the cover of Cannabis Now. The exhibition includes images taken at campaign stops in Iowa, New Hampshire, Vermont, South Carolina, Nevada, Wisconsin, and Washington state, and is a fundraiser to help fund a two-week trip photographing the Republican and Democratic conventions in Cleveland and Philadelphia.
