November 9, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
As he grew up, Yves Saint Laurent’s personal and professional sensibilities were shaped by the art of film. SAM and Alliance Francaise de Seattle present one of Saint Laurent’s favorites, a model of refined beauty and compelling romance: “La Belle et la Bete (Beauty and the Beast)”, Jean Cocteau, 1948.
On November 30, we’ll screen the remarkable “Belle de jour” starring Catherine Deneuve, for which Saint Laurent designed the costumes. Luis Bunuel, 1967.
35mm films in French with English subtitles.
A limited number of single-film tickets may be available on a first-come, first-served basis the day of the show, at 7:25 pm, at the auditorium entrance for $9 (cash/check only).
