Join Forward Flux Productions for The Flux Salon XVI, featuring LAS MARIPOSAS Y LOS MUERTOS by Benjamin Benne. It will be directed by Flux team member Pilar O’Connell and Benjamin will be joining us IN PERSON for the Salon. This will be our final Salon of the 2016 season.
In addition to the reading, there will be a live musical performance from mariachi band Los Flacos, margaritas, delicious Mexican food and engaging conversation. The Salon is an amazing way to explore the city, meet cool people, and engage with brand new art in roving spaces. It will take place at Casco Antiguo in Pioneer Square.

About the play:
“Through their musical talents and a series of strategically planned maneuvers, Las Mariposas are on the verge of being the next great buzz band. As momentum picks up and their following grows, they capture the critics’ gaze and the band begins to divide over what artistic compromises are too much to sacrifice. In the digital age, when everything put into cyberspace leaves a permanent imprint, Elena, Celestina, and Molly begin questioning their identity, integrity, and public image. But when trends constantly shift in the over-saturated art world, does anything we create ever really have a lasting effect?”
