Salon Bar-Kon is very excited to present My Life in Pink, recent work from Anouk Rawkson.
My Life in Pink will run April and May, and Salon Bar-Kon will be open 6 to 9 for both Capitol Hill Art Walks, April 13, and May 11.

Artist’s statement:

As a Seattle based artist Anouk Rawkson’s work has shown with great success in various area galleries and venues. His influences range from music,comics, horror movies and other subcultures. The goal with his art is to express a dark sense of humor and irony with an initially perceived innocent image. For the My Life In Pink show, Anouk wanted to create all things pink in all different shades of pink that represented him as a Queer Chicano artist.This show is dedicated to all the sissies,pansies,pink boys,queers of color who fought for our rights and to be themselves.
