Seattle Night of Noise
April 21, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Night of Noise is a FREE event for LGBTQ and allied youth. It takes place on April 21, 2017 following the National Day of Silence, a day where students all over the nation take a vow of silence to demonstrate the silencing effects of LGBTQ bullying and harassment.
By staying silent for a whole day, we symbolize those who have been silenced. This is for the people who are afraid to come out and speak up about their sexuality or gender identity/expression for fear of the ridicule and violence they would have to endure. We symbolize those who have been forced back into silence.
The NIGHT OF NOISE is meant as a celebratory event for youth to come and break the silence while enjoying FREE food, fun games, and a safe space to just be ourselves!
Come meet us near the park’s shelter house and together we will break the silence!
