Love Is Action: What is Love?
April 20, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join your neighbors in a community conversation about the various ways that we can come together as a community in relationship and action to promote a better place of sanctuary, safety and support for those who are most vulnerable in our midst. After the election, many in Capitol Hill want to build even more awareness and action in our community about how our neighborhood in particular could be a safe and sanctuary place for people who face discrimination and hatred in the form of Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, homophobia, sexism, racism, and the like.
The first in a 2-part series, will address the question “What is Love?” Special guests will include representatives from diverse faith and non-faith leaders in our neighborhood.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Hosted by the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce, Capitol Hill Community Council and First Covenant Church.
Confirmed Panelists:
Aneelah Afzali, Executive Director of the MAPS-AMEN (American Muslim Empowerment Network)
