Telling Your Story: Enby Workshop
September 30, 2017 @ 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Sometimes we forget how much our stories matter. Sometimes it is because we are told it over and over until we believe it. It isn’t true. Sometimes your story is the difference between someone else finally believing it’s okay to express themselves and hiding away. This storytelling workshop is meant to help us gather to tell the stories we need to tell.
Danielle K.L. Grégoire will be facilitating the workshop, which will be a gathering of people who want to tell their stories, and who also want to listen to the stories of others. Danielle is a gender-fluid, queer parent of two children, and the former producer of the Moth storySLAM. Danielle also has a show starting in November at the Royal Room called …And Other Stories, that is intended to bring us together and amplify the voices of undeserved communities.
Enby Workshops are centered around the experiences of queer & trans folks, but open to everyone regardless of gender identity or experience. The room is on the second floor and ADA accessible. Please come as scent-neutral as possible to promote access for folks with scent sensitivities. Snacks will be provided as always; you are welcome to contact us with allergy info!
