Taste of Iceland in Seattle: Iceland Day

Learn about Icelandic culture at KEXP with a day full of interesting and fun events! You’ll experience a discussion on Iceland’s 100 Years of Sovereignty anniversary with Hlynur Gudjonsson, Consul General and Trade Commissioner, Consulate General of Iceland in New York; an exploration into geothermal energy with Dr. Bjarni Palsson, Director of Geothermal Energy in Research and Development Division, Landsvirkjun; a family book reading with Icelandic author, Andri Snær Magnason; and a discussion on the truth and myth about Icelandic creativity with Halla Helgadóttir, Managing Director of the Iceland Design Center.

Taste of Iceland is taking over Seattle for a four-day celebration of Icelandic cuisine, music, design and culture from October 11-14. The interactive celebration showcasing the best of Iceland will offer attendees an experiential glimpse into the various and unique elements of Icelandic culture at events across Seattle. Gourmands, film enthusiasts, bookworms, concert-goers and art aficionados will all find an Icelandic experience to appreciate throughout the weekend celebration.
