Free From His Madonna Employment, Bob The Drag Queen Launches World Tour

June 8, 2024• byMichael Strangeways

Bob the Drag Queen has spent most of the last year in the service of his Queen, the Lady Madonna on her mammoth Celebration world tour but that’s finely wrapped and now the RuPaul Drag Race winner/comedian is ready to headline his own show with the This Is Wild! Global Stand-Up Tour. It opens in Australia for 4 dates in July then heads to North America in September for a continent crossing spectacle that takes him to most major cities including stops in the Pacific Northwest with gigs in Boise, Portland, Victoria BC, and Seattle on September 27th at the lovely Moore Theatre. Tickets are already flying out the door (are folks hoping for some Madonna dish?) so snag those Seattle tix at https://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0F0060AADE0E6419?brand=mooreseattle

I don’t think Bob will kiss and tell much…he knows not to bite the hand that bestows the good gigs…Plus, he’ll have lots of material for the inevitable memoir in 20 years.

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
