Be Afraid…Jurassic Parking Lot Takes Over Green Lake!

August 14, 2025• byMichael Strangeways

From the demented minds who have brought us such delicious stage parodies as A VERY DIE HARD CHRISTMAS and TITANISH comes their latest atrocity….JURASSIC PARKING LOT! From producer Mark Siano and The Habit comedy troupe, it’s their latest fun filled musical tribute to a cherished film from the past. And, this time, there be DINOSAURS!!!!

Apparently, tickets are already selling quickly so it might behoove you to snag some for yourself before they’re all gone. Jurassic Parking Lot opens August 22nd at the Bathhouse Theatre at Green Lake (aka Seattle Public Theater’s longtime home) and runs through September 14th. Snag tickets at https://www.seattlepublictheater.org/jurassicparkinglot

The show features many performers from prior Siano productions and it does have a “rating” of 14+ so the younguns need to stay HOME!

More poo:

Do Dinosaurs sing and dance? Hell yeah. Do scientists over-reach and over-react? NO! LEAVE THEM ALONE! From the creators of A Very Die Hard Christmas and Titanish comes a gigantic new blockbuster parody – Jurassic Parking Lot running August 22 – September 14, 2025. Seattle Public Theater on Green Lake will be dinosaur central as they team up with The Habit Comedy again!

The Habit is renowned for their fast-paced and action packed comedies, and this show promises to take it to another level. Expect big laughs, ridiculously low-budget staging, strangely sexy dinosaurs, live music, and inappropriate dance numbers. Jurassic Parking Lot is for adults who never grew up, and ages 14 and older.

This is The Habit’s first new show in 5 years and people are already lining up with houses filling up fast and seats disappearing like goats in a T-Rex pen. Long time fans of The Habit will delight in the chance to soak up a whole new show of jokes, bits, and silly musical numbers, and those who have never seen a show by The Habit will be astounded by their clever and low budget solutions to million dollar problems. What can audiences expect of this new summer juggernaut?

  • a 90 minute comedy (plus a boozy 15 minute intermission)
  • Fast paced comedy from The Habit that parodies the popular 1993 movie
  • Live original music and 90s throwbacks
  • Kinky Raptors, A Spitting Dilophosaurus, and a Horny Stegosaurus
  • Giant dinosaur puppets
  • Ridiculous inflatable Dinosaur costumes
  • A singing and dancing 14 person ensemble of joyful comedians and performers

“This was a no-brainer for The Habit, we are constantly looking for material that can bring an entire generation together, and everyone knows the Jurassic franchise,” says director Mark Siano. “Even before we announced the show, half of our audience predicted this would be the next parody after the success of Titanish. Doing this in a city full of adults that refuse to grow up just felt right.”

Jurassic Parking Lot is penned by The Habit Comedy’s lead writer Jeff Schell (Titanish, Chaos Theory, Indy Jones, The Final Cut, The Habit) and David Swidler (The Habit, Soft Rock Kid, Modern Luv) with music and direction by Mark Siano (Titanish, Bohemia, Seattle Vice, A Very Die Hard Christmas).
