Like the Texas Energizer Bunny that she is, drag superstar ALYSSA EDWARDS just keeps going and going and going. She starred in Season Five of RuPaul’s Drag Race a very, very long time ago and she didn’t even make the final 3, but the hardest working gal in drag show business knows how to put on a show. She’s pretty much managed to make her way back to Seattle every year for the last dozen years in one way or the other and she’ll continue that streak when she bops in Seattle Theater Group’s Neptune Theatre on Thursday, April 9th for the opening night of her 22 city North American tour of her new show, “To RuPaul, Thanks for Everything, Alicia Edwards” which is of course a play on RuPaul notoriously getting her name wrong on the most recent season of RPDR.
STG Presents and Mammoth NW welcome Alyssa Edwards. Get ready for a wild, funny and heartwarming ride that is the life and times of Alyssa Edwards. From a small town in Mesquite, Texas to the greatest worldwide stage drag has ever seen, hear how Justin Johnson, better known as ALYSSA EDWARDS, went from a shy boy to the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars. Packed with Alyssa’s signature humor and wit, she’ll share the outrageous, side-splitting tales of her rise to fame—broken heels, chipped nails, and all—delivered as only she can. This one night only show opens and closes with glamorous performances and equally amazing are the stories, life lessons, and words of wisdom that will leave you both laughing and inspired.
