Waxie Moon Is Back…At Central Cinema

Waxie Moon, Ernie Von Schmaltz and this AWESOME van, star in “Waxie Moon in Fallen Jewel” screening at Central Cinema, Thursday, Febr 28 and hosted by Jinkx Monsoon!

Did you foolishly miss last fall’s screening of “Waxie Moon in Fallen Jewel” at the Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival?

Fret not…the Wes Hurley directed, locally produced film starring our favorite gender bending dancer/actress/diva WAXIE MOON, aka Marc Kenison, is returning to Seattle for a special screening at Central Cinema this coming Thursday, February 28th at 8pm with Very Special Mistress of Ceremonies, Miss Jinkx Monsoon!

“Waxie Moon in Fallen Jewel” is the madcap comedy that’s part Sex and the City, part 1950’s Douglas Sirk weeper and part…well, I don’t know how to describe the last part of the film. It’s sorta like Rainier Werner Fassbinder had directed a movie musical with gay porn actors and go go boys. But, the entire film is a lushly photographed and designed valentine to Seattle and all things Waxie Moon…and, how can you not love a film that includes a costume montage featuring dozens of delightful fashions created by Harmony Arnold? And, an all-star local cast of powerhouse talent including Marya Sea Kaminski, Sarah Rudinoff, John Osebold, Jackie Hell and Nick Garrison channeling Klaus Nomi?

Plus, this special screening will also include LIVE performances…SQUEE!!!

Get your tickets over here…it’s an 18+ party so leave the young ones at home.
