Actress Siobhan Finneran, the evil O’Brien on “Downton Abbey” is NOT returning for the 4th series.
Millions of “Downton Abbey” fans are about to lose their shit…they have had to endure the loss of two popular characters from the ITV/PBS hit soap opera about British poshies and their servants living in the first quarter of the 2oth century. In the third season which just concluded, both Jessica Brown Findlay, who played the youngest daughter Lady Sybil, and Dan Stevens, the series heart throb who played Abbey heir Matthew, left the series…via coffins.
Now, word has leaked from the UK that another important cast member is ankling the hit show. Actress Siobhan Finneran, who plays the conniving lady’s maid O’Brien, will not be returning to the currently shooting fourth season.
Ms Finneran is a well known British actress who also stars in the popular sitcom “Benidorm” and will also star in the second series of recent BBC hit, “The Syndicate” about a group of people who strike it rich winning the lottery.
She’s also FAR more attractive than the grisly O’Brien.

What next for fans of “Downton Abbey”? Will Thomas go straight? Will Lord Grantham stop being such a putz? Will the writing and directing improve on the show?
