2022 Summer Pride Season hosted by Rain City Soccer Club

Rain City Soccer Club’s Pride Season is a 7-week fun and friendly soccer season dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community in the heart of Seattle.
PRIDE SEASON is a soccer season dedicated to LGBTQ+ people and their and friends held in the central neighborhood of Capitol Hill during the beautiful summertime of Seattle.
This is amazing opportunity for queer folk of all skill levels and backgrounds to play soccer together weekly, build skills, and build community and friendships. We’re so excited you can join us!
-Players will enjoy 7 weeks of games and other benefits.
-Other benefits for players include team drink pitchers, weekly drink specials, food, weekly drag performances, and an end of season pizza party.
-After games, there will always be a post-game LBGTQ+ venue with drink specials for players and their fans to connect.
-This is our 2nd year of Pride Season. We are making various improvements to the format and experience, which will be announced in May and throughout the season.
FORMAT:
-8 teams will be drafted and announced 2 – 3 weeks before the first week of games.
-Games are 8 vs 8 players, including the goal keeper. Rosters will be about 12-13 players.
-Teams will be inclusive of all-genders, skill levels, and sexualities. This is a season to connect with each other and the community.
-Less experienced players have the opportunity to learn from advanced players.
-Fields are half-standard size and 60 minutes (30 minute halves).
-A sub list will be available to anyone who is unable to register but would like to play a few weeks.

-Player Meet & Greet – Wednesday evening 6/1 (optional)
-Week 1 – Friday, June 3 at Cal Anderson (early game starts at 6:30 PM)
-Week 2 – Friday June 10 at Cal Anderson (early game starts at 6:30 PM)
-Week 3 – Friday June 17 at Cal Anderson (early game starts at 6:30 PM)
-Bye Week – No Game June 24 due to Seattle Pride
-Week 4 – Friday July 1 at Cal Anderson (early game starts at 6:30 PM)
-Week 5 – Friday July 8 at Cal Anderson (early game starts at 6:30 PM)
-Week 6 – Friday July 15 at Cal Anderson (early game starts at 6:30 PM)
-Bye Week – no game on July 22
-Week 7 & Season Celebration – Date TBD (early game starts at 12 PM)
SEASON VOLUNTEERS:
We need 8 captains and 1 program manager. If you are interested in one of these, please DO NOT register yet and complete this form. As a token of our appreciation, organizers and captains get to enjoy half off their registrations and a pre-season party for the organizers, hosted by one of the board members.
CLUB ASSISTED REGISTRATION:
RCSC strives to make all of our activities as inclusive and accessible as possible. We’ve allocated a number of tickets to grant individuals needing assistance with participation. The past few years have been tough and we are a community that supports one another. These tickets will be prioritized to persons who may not have generational wealth, robust income, or have recently experienced an unforeseen hardship. Please submit your request here , no later than May 6.

Rain City SC’s mission is to provide the community with a safe environment to meet, play soccer and build community. Our organization helps coordinate various levels of competition from open scrimmages (Kickabout) to competitive teams (in local leagues). RCSC supports LGBTQ+ soccer teams in the Seattle area.
