3rd Annual ‘Mo-Wave Festival Day 1
November 13, 2015 @ 8:00 pm - 3:00 am
The Seth Bogart Show (Seth of Hunx and His Punx/LA):
The Seth Bogart Show is the new live televisual performance starring Seth Bogart (formerly of Hunx & His Punx and Gravy Train) which we’re delighted to now be booking.
Inspired by Pee Wee’s Playhouse and Liquid Television, Bogart’s performance features a video backdrop set to music inspired by Radio Disney, Kraftwerk, Le Tigre, Broadcast and Nina Hagen. The live show was tested for the first time this summer in France. Combining sculptures, paintings and music videos, it later forged Bogart’s first solo art installation which was exhibited this fall at 356 S. Mission Rd in Los Angeles.
Early next year Seth Bogart’s debut album will be released on Burger Records and features guest appearances by Kathleen Hanna, Tavi Gevinson, Clementine Creevy and Chela. The record was produced by Cole MGN (Julia Holter, Nite Jewel, Ariel Pink).
Cakes Da Killa (NJ):
Recording artist and raunchy rapper Cakes Da Killa is a 24-year-old with three critically-acclaimed mixtapes to his name. His latest release Hunger Pangs solidified him as “one of hip hop’s most exciting voices,” according to The Needle Drop and a ferocious rapper who “sounds like he will absolutely slap your face off” in the words of Stereogum. (Rightly) bragging that he can, “spit that shit to make a homophobe a hypocrite,” he continues to prove the statement true with each new release he drops.

The Young Evils (SEA):
The Young Evils, a rock outfit hailing from Seattle, Washington, are excellent evidence that final products often look nothing like initial intentions. Started as a lighthearted Vaselines-inspired pop duo composed of record store co-workers Troy Nelson and Mackenzie Mercer, the Young Evils today bear only passing resemblance to their past selves.
After their charming debut album Enchanted Chapel captured hearts far and wide, the duo expanded their sound, enlisting guitarist Michael Lee and teaming up with acclaimed Brooklyn-based producer/engineer Shane Stoneback (Vampire Weekend, Sleigh Bells, Cults) for the follow-up: the bombastic and wholly rock EP Foreign Spells. Today, brothers Brendon (bass) and Scott Helgason’s (drums) rhythm section provide the back bone to the band’s 80’s inspired angular pop in a way only siblings can provide.
Zebulon Gone (NYC):
Zebulon Gone is the concerted result of musician/producer Thomas Haskett, taking influence from Electronic Body Music, Industrial, Darkwave, House and Freestyle music with the aim to create a Project that builds and contributes to the new american industrial music scene.
Based in Brooklyn, Zebulon Gone has spent the past 6 years gaining technical education and artistic direction from electronic leaders such as Fischerspooner, Ssion, and Book of Love’s Ted Ottaviano.
Zebulon Gone is currently finalizing the production of the Sentinels EP with Producer Barb Morrison, to be finished and released late 2015, while striving to be physically adept, mentally engaged, with an appreciation of independence, a firm handshake and a veritable expression.
