Are You There God? It’s Me, Karen Carpenter
June 12, 2015 @ 7:30 pm
~We long to be Close to You~
Come get your “Ticket to Ride” back to the year 1973 with an unexpected mashup inspired by The Classic book about growing up “Are You There God? Its me, Margaret.” And the music of the Carpenters. A Story about innocence in an age before the internet where the only way we were exposed to celebrities were either by Rabbit Ear antennas on our new Color Televisions or on that AM/FM radio mom and dad gave us to finally be able to listen to OUR music in our own rooms! STAGEright Theatre is celebrating the absolute innocence of this era of American History in full RCA color onstage. Will Margaret become a “Superstar”? Will she end up on “Top of the World”? Only time will tell for this diversely cast Musical going up on “Rainy Days and Mondays” this June at the Richard Hugo House!
June 12, 13, 15, 18, 19, 20, 22, 25, 26, and 27th at the Richard Hugo House!
