Come learn about the history of the PNW bootblack community. Who are our past titleholders? Before the Washington State Bootblack title, which started in 2014, what other titles did bootblacks in the community run for and hold? What were the best practices and techniques in the past, and how have things changed over the years?

If it’s nice outside we will be meeting on the patio in the back of Doghouse. There are about 5 steps up without a railing to get to the gravel covered patio. There is also a wooden gate that opens to the parking lot next to Doghouse, we will keep this open for convenience. Chairs will be provided.
If it’s rainy out we will be upstairs in Doghouse “HQ”. So get up there you need to go through the store and head up a flight of fairly wobbly steps. (Finding free accessible places in Seattle is pretty hard, if anyone has other suggestions that may be more accessible to members who wish to attend, please let me know).
We also try to keep the space scent free, or low scent, but people may be using bootblacking products with high chemical content.
