Damsels of Doom: Horror B-Movie Double Feature
October 24, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 10:30 pm
One night only! A special double bill of classic B-movie chillers from the 1950s and ’60s! Plus spooky shorts before each feature! All on 16mm film. Plus door prizes!
In the Roger Corman production QUEEN OF BLOOD (1966), Earth scientists detect a distress call from an alien spaceship that has crashed on Mars. A team of astronauts (including young Dennis Hopper) investigates, finding a lone survivor: a mysterious green-skinned alien who is as alluring as she is mute. On the flight home, they soon discover she is actually a space vampire! Trapped between worlds, who will win the battle to survive?! Incorporating eye-popping effects footage lifted from a Soviet space opera, director Curtis Harrington transcends his tiny budget to craft a memorably atmospheric sci-fi horror gem.
“One of the more eerie space-films of the era…positively chilling.”

PLUS! A SECRET SECOND FEATURE! Another rarely-screened AIP classic: a mind-controlled woman is transformed into a blood-thirsty primordial monster! Not to be missed!
