ABOUT THE EMERGING ARTIST PROGRAM

As a theatre dedicated to raising up a new generation of theatre-makers as diverse as our city, Intiman launched the Emerging Artist Program to train and mentor emerging actors, directors, and writers during an eight-week summer training program.

Our diverse cohort – ranging in experience from raw talent to Equity candidates, with a primary focus on underrepresented populations – includes local and international artists from Seattle Central College to New York University and beyond.

The Emerging Artists receive detailed insight into the professional theatre industry, gain measurable skills in their selected area of concentration, and complete the program with increased connectedness to Intiman and the greater Seattle theatre community.
