Family: An API LGBTQ Event
June 13, 2015 @ 9:30 am
Everyone is invited to our FREE all-day conference — Family: An API LGBTQ Gathering on Saturday, June 13th! This event will provide workshops, a resource fair and community celebration for queer youth and their families in the Asian/Pacific Islander Americans.
Registration will begin at 9:30am and the day will conclude around 5pm.
The event is hosted by Seattle JACL (with support from National JACL and the Pride Foundation), as well as local community organizations including PFLAG, Tadaima, ACRS and more. Keynote speakers will include Marsha and Aiden Aizumi who will tell their story of love, family, and acceptance from a trans perspective.
Our hope is to build an APA PFLAG (Parents Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) group in conjunction with PFLAG Seattle to provide further services to youth and their families.
Thank you to AT&T, the Pride Foundation, and a National JACL Legacy grant for your support of this event.
If you have any questions about the event, please feel free to e-mail apilgbtqevent@gmail.com or contact the chair, Sarah Baker, directly at kittening@gmail.com
We hope to see you there!
