Find your team for 2016!

The Emerald City Softball Association Open Division, the largest gay-softball league in the Northwest, invites players of all kinds to its second Field Day of 2016: 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at North SeaTac Park in Seatac.

The new-player clinic and skills assessment is designed for softball players of all skill levels — novices are strongly encouraged to attend, as are seasoned pros who may be changing ECSA teams or divisions. Representatives from many of the ECSA’s 35+ teams will be on hand to introduce themselves and potentially recruit new teammates for the 2016 softball season, which runs from April 3 to June.

Whether you’re throwing a ball for the first time or seeking the next team in your long softball career, the Field Day can be a great introduction to the ECSA’s welcoming community. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring a mitt and molded plastic cleats (no metal spikes). There is no cost to attend. In case of rain, the event will move to Sunday, Feb. 14, at the same location.
