Figure Drawing and Self-Realization for Trans Visibility
March 24, 2018 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Our self-image, our social identities, our aesthetics and our genders are complex, yet we exist in a world that expects us to fit into binary boxes. In this workshop, we will explore art, and especially portraiture, as a tool for self-realization for nonbinary and trans people. In celebration of Trans Visibility Day, our March workshop is part discussion, part figure drawing workshop. We are looking both for participants who want to draw and those who want to model, or both. All levels of art/modeling ability and experience are welcome.
Accessibility:
The building is wheelchair accessible by a side door located in the parking lot. All-gender restroom will be provided by the venue.
Supplies:
Bring your favorite art supplies if you have them. If not, we will have extra paper, pens and pencils. If you know you don’t have your own supplies, it would help us estimate how many we need to bring if you could send Chelsea Robinson a DM or comment in the discussion of this event.
