Kremwerk welcomes the reunion of the infamous DJ collective FLEA MARKET! Originally formed in 2004 by Brent Tactic and Josh Verse, Flea Market was a party dedicated to blending an array of genres ranging from hip-hop and techno to deep house and tech house, from disco and italo to electro-funk and grime – constantly cross-pollinating multiple styles on the decks and playfully defying expectations. Kadeejah Streets, Greg Skidmore, and Scratchmaster Joe joined Flea Market during its two-year run at the late great Chapel bar on Capitol Hill, where crazy nights of mad tag-teaming DJ sets ensued.
Every so often we get the crew back together and we’re inviting our friends Joey Webb and Night Train to join us on the decks!
Expect the unexpected at a Flea Market party – come join us at Kremwerk on Friday, May 20!

BRENT TACTIC (NYC)
A dozen years of dominance can’t be wrong.
This remains true for DJ and producer Brent Tactic, who in bridging the space where the underground storms the mainstream, has successfully kept dancefloors filled and fulfilled nationwide. Now residing in Bushwick, New York City, Brent cut his teeth on independent hip hop for many years as a successful presence in Kansas City and around the midwest. Success in that realm mirrors his current workload — between DJing, booking for Rogue Agency, and acting as executive assistant to the Subvert Agency, and maintaining management consultation roles with several artists, Brent keeps a full schedule of engagements that keep him continually plugged into and an indelible part of the musical landscape in which he’s always resided.
Blog fanatics and close followers of indie dance likely know Brent Tactic from his “Tactic” tandem with Portland’s Ben Tactic (Fuller). The duo first paired in 2002, a common creative ground found in a now pop-trending style that kicked down genre boundaries. Four turntable DJ sets blurred the line between hip-hop, electro and bass-heavy club music, while their production chops earned them plays on NYC’s East Village Radio, London’s KISS FM and BBC Radio1 plus spins in the sets of Diplo, Sinden, Tittsworth, Starkey, Jackmaster, Dave Nada, Cosmo Baker and Eli Escobar. With remixes and original tracks released on labels such as Mad Decent, Dress 2 Sweat (Numbers), Starkey’s label Slit Jockey, the legendary Palms Out Sounds, Get Flavor and Datura Records, Brent’s success as a producer set the pace for his current workload.
A ubiquitous and working man’s DJ, Brent has recently been seen at the likes of Output, Webster Hall, DC’s U Street Music Hall, and a slew of other music-minded venues in Seattle, Boston, Indianapolis, Chicago, Kansas City, and more. In the last year, Brent has additionally been featured as direct support for the likes of Rustie, Giraffage, and AWE, as well as serving as Father Dude’s touring DJ.
In the professional realm, Brent remains an influencer. Brent joined Rogue Agency in March 2016, taking on booking agency roles for a variety of clients, in addition to continuing his role as executive assistant at the PR-focused Subvert Agency. As an independent managerial consultant, Brent also plays keen roles in developing the repertoires of other talented up-and-comers, providing valuable insight from his own lived experiences that positively shape careers for years to come.
