GAY CITY ARTS PRESENTS MOM-O-LOGUES
A Show By Casey Tonnelly
December 10-13, 17-20 / 7PM
Gen Adm: $15 / Sponsor: $20* / Students & Seniors: $12
Did your mom tuck you in at night? Whisper “I love you” into your ear? Bake cookies for your birthday? Call to see how you are? That’s great! But those are not our stories. Our stories are about how still love yourself, even when you have nontraditional and fucked-up families. It can be radical, revolutionary and takes a lot of damn work.
Gay City Arts presents song, dance, spoken word, burlesque, comedy and digital media by artists who are doing radical self-love work regardless of what they have been told of their worth.
Performers include:
Anis Gisele
Casey Tonnelly
DJ Martintez
Lily Divine
Mateo Cruz
Militant Child
Tara Hardy
Guests from Sanctuary Arts Center
And More!
This show is being presented in collaboration with Sanctuary Arts Center. Youth art will be on display during the show.
*Sponsor Tickets: Gay City relies on the generosity of our patrons and supporters to help bring about programs like Gay City Arts. Spending a little more on your ticket will help keep our program running and our ticket prices low.
The Calamus Auditorium at Gay City is ADA accessible, has two single-stall all-gender restrooms, and is minimally scented. There will be scent free soap in the restrooms.
Fragrance free request: Please join us in ensuring accessibility for beloved community members with chemical sensitivity and chronic illness by not bringing fragrances or scents on your clothes, hair, or skin from colognes and perfumes, scented laundry detergent, hair and body products, natural products, and essential oils. Information for scent sensitive people: Gay City is not a scent free space. All natural, minimally scented cleaning products are used in all areas. Additionally, cigarette smoke from the front entrance can drift into the space, there are often strong scents of coffee and baking from Kaladi Brothers Coffee, and many patrons are not scent free. Please protect yourself accordingly.
