Hung By The Chimney
December 4, 2015 @ 7:30 pm
The Pulp Vixens return to Theatre Off Jackson with a holiday favorite to celebrate TOJ’s 10th Anniversary!
“Hung by the Chimney” is a film noir classic in the tradition of Bogey & Bacall–if Bogey wore a skirt and Bacall was a monkey. Can lonely but loveable private eye Molly O’Malley unmask the Big Lady before she puts the finishing touches on her evil plot or will the wild monkey chase end with Molly dead and her good name forever tarnished?
Whatever happens, Molly’s sure to take a few wrong turns and kiss a few dames along the way.
This Christmas, Shawnmarie Stanton and Jennifer Jasper are joined by Rebecca Davis and team up once again with Vixen director, Kevin Kent (Teatro Zinzanni).
The Pulp Vixens performed nationally from 1995-2005. Their cast included Jennifer Jasper, Mia Levine, Shawnmarie Stanton (the original three), Keri Healey, Megan Hill and Susan McIntyre.
Their first show, “Innocent Heat” was performed from Boston to San Francisco and the troupe performed twice at the Michigin Womyn’s Music Festival. They joined forces with local playwright, Scot Augustson who penned “A Very Lesbian Nutcracker” and “Fistful of Lesbians” as well as the holiday fave “Hung By The Chimney.”
