Know Your Workers’ Rights Training for Seattle LGBTQ Workers
March 10, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Seattle has stronger labor protections than most cities in the country. Do you know what they are and how they are enforced? If you are an LGBTQ worker in Seattle who wants to learn more about your workers’ rights and what to do if they are violated, this training is for you! It’s being led by LGBTQ low-wage workers who have been trained on Seattle’s labor standards by Allyship and the Fair Work Center.
Please register for the training here: http://bit.do/workersrights
Join us on Thurs., March 10, 6:30-8:30pm at the WA State Labor Council in the Central District (321 16th Avenue S at the corner of S. Jackson and 16th, bus routes 7, 14, 27 & 984, free street parking). Light snacks and drinks will be provided. This space is wheelchair accessible. We ask that you refrain from wearing fragrances. Please indicate other accessibility needs on the registration form. Feel free to contact Denechia Powell at info@allyship.org or 206.428.1986 with questions.
Can’t make it to this training? There are more scheduled for later this year:
April – Know Your Workers’ Rights for LGBTQ Homeless Youth Workers
August – Know Your Workers’ Rights for Transgender & Gender Nonconforming Workers
October – Know Your Workers’ Rights for LGBTQ People of Color Workers
