LGBTQ For Kshama Sawant
October 25, 2015 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The 2015 Election nears and it is time for us to rally behind the boldest supporter in city government for the needs of the LGBTQ community – Kshama Sawant!
Kshama has been at the forefront of fighting for the issues that our community cares about since her election to the council in 2013: Ending hate crimes on Capitol Hill, fighting for the $15. minimum wage, increasing funding and attention to LGBTQ youth homelessness, fighting for rent control and affordable housing, championing the Trans community by being the first elected official to attend and speak at Trans* Pride Seattle, and working closely with community leaders to champion the All Gender Restrooms legislation.
You can read more details about Kshama’s platform and priorities for our community on her website http://www.kshamasawant.org/lgbtq_rights
Please join us for this opportunity to meet Kshama, hear more about her platform and policy priorities for our community, and to join together in supporting Kshama with our votes and donations of volunteer time and money.
We look forward to seeing you there!
