Luminata
September 21, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Luminata is a glowing celebration of the season of balance welcoming the Autumn Equinox. Gather for a lantern-lit procession around Green Lake Park. Everyone is welcome to be a part of this parade of light, music, and glowing costumes as we begin the gentle shift from the exuberance of summer to the cooler days of autumn. Fill the park with light, art, and live acoustic music. Bring your favorite lantern, don your best costume, and sip on hot cider as you embrace the changing of the seasons with family and friends, old and new.
We meet at dusk at the Aqua Theater on the South shores of Green Lake and move North to the Bathhouse Theater. No tickets required! Everyone welcome!
Don’t have a lantern? Lantern-making workshops are going on now! See the #Powerhouse Workshop Calendar for dates & times:

Lanterns will be available for sale at 6:30 p.m. the day of Luminata. All proceeds benefit the Fremont Arts Council.
Do you have a marvelous illuminated creation or performance piece in your mind, in progress, or created and itching to get out into the world? The Fremont Arts Council invites all artists, aspiring artists, designers, lighting designers, musicians, and performers to propose large-scale art installations, movable creations, and performances for the Parade! Please submit your proposal by September 12th at http://fremontartscouncil.org/luminata-art-grants/.
