Makes Me Human ft. Mihigh @ Kremwerk

We return to our Romanian obsession for the December edition of Makes Me Human at Kremwerk. Mihigh is our guest and we hope you’re ready for a night of Transylvanian minimal techno that wanders the webs of imagination.
Mihigh is known for his longtime residency at Club Midi as well as being an occasional b2b partner with Ricardo Villalobos. In addition to his skills behind the decks, he is a talented producer who has shared even more of his creative mind with the world through his experimental productions on bandcamp. His ear for “obscure, hypnotic sounds” has made him one of Romania’s internationally renowned underground artists with appearances in London, Paris, and New York. Mihigh is a staple at the yearly Sunwaves festival on the Black Sea and his recent LP on Romanian label Playedby demonstrates his unique artistic trajectory. It goes without saying that Makes Me Human will be his Seattle debut and we have been eagerly awaiting this rare treat for a while.

“I wanted the music I play intensely and I highly appreciate to be represented by a record label. I wanted to release music that surpasses time, that is built around a story or idea and that leaves a footprint. For example, if you take them and play them randomly, on shuffle, you’ll notice that it gives you an organic feeling, they’re melodic, they fit well together, they have a common core. From my perspective, this is what a label is built around – having a direction and knowing what you do. Each release bonds with each other, the artists are connected, it’s like we’re looking at different chapters of the same book.”

ACCESSIBILITY
Kremwerk is currently not an ADA-accessible space. Club entry is through a flight of 12 metal stairs, with two small steps leading into the main part of the club. We have 2 restrooms with a total of 3 stalls and 1 urinal, all gender-neutral. If you would like access to single-stall restrooms, please don’t hesitate to ask our door & security to allow entry upstairs into Timbre Room, which has 2 single-stall gender-neutral restrooms. For any questions about safety & accessibility, please email info@kremwerk.com.
