ilvs strauss brings to life an evening length performance of her formerly solo show MANIFESTO at Velocity Dance Center this Memorial Day Weekend.

Listed in Dance Magazine’s Best of 2014 list, the show is a show that employs a California Red Sea Cucumber as a vehicle for exploring what it takes to be a woman and what it means to be a woman who does not want children.

Set to the tune of a clear, concise voice over narrative, this playful, queer exploration interweaves the topics of womanhood, existential musings and intertidal invertebrates, taking audience members on an engaging, genre blending stroll thru personal ruminations and aspirations.

To assist and as a twist in this storytelling endeavor, a cast of 12 performers has been added, creating an exploded view diagram of the internal world of Manifesto.
